The number ONE question I get about LinkedIn is “How do I get my profile 100% complete?”

Bookmark and Share

Well LinkedIn Fans, this is a really great question and very simply answered.  This is an important question as well, because you are 40% more likely to be found on LinkedIn IF your profile is 100% complete.  That’s a significant number and another reason to make sure your profile is complete and available to the 60 Million people on LinkedIn.

So, what do we mean by 100% complete?  Here are the 7 items that need addressed to assure 100% completion of your LinkedIn profile page:

Upload a Photo-Professional photo, not your dog or kids or you partying. Remember this IS the PROFESSIONALS social network

Current position-Don’t stop with just your current position, share more so we learn more about you.

       Two past positions

Education-the more information you give LinkedIn, the “smarter” it becomes in making recommendations on who to connect with.

Profile summary – tell a story about Brand YOU.  The more interesting, the more likely it is to be read.

Specialties – be precise and clear

3 recommendations- Give to Get.  Give recommendations to get them.

LinkedIn doesn’t tell you this, and LinkedIn support doesn’t seem to know it either, but you get 5% for each recommendation, up to a maximum of 15%.

Happy Trails LinkedIn Fans.

We invite all of you to get a discussion going.  Please submit your comments at the end of this article, Thanks.

Texans Quotes

" When rough times have fallen upon our state in the past, Texans have always responded with generosity and an eagerness to help. The compassionate response to the fires has proven that this community spirit is alive and well. "
